Your floorboards can be left their natural colour or stained to your taste; your floorboards will always be sealed regardless of the application of stain. While sealant works to protect your floorboards from normal wear and tear, stain acts to colour your floors to complement your home or business’s decor and some may find that stain can enhance the natural beauty of the wood. This is how we do it.
We always use Colron Stain. Why? Simple. We want to make maintenance of your refurbished floors as straight forward as possible for our customers. Colron Stain is widely carried by quality hardwares up and down the country. If you accidentally damage or mark your wooden floor, you’ll easily be able to find Colron Stain at a local stockist. In this way we hope to save you a call out charge for re-staining your floor. Never fear, however, Simply Sanding is always on hand if your floor does sustain some damage; feel free to ring us and talk through the best approach to repair your floor.
Choosing the Right Stain for You
The best way to choose the right Colron Stain for your floors is a patch test. We are happy to create a patch test on site to allow you the opportunity to judge the stain colour in relation to the light and decoration in your home. You are under no obligation to have your floor stained, but we like to give you the option before we seal the floor. Please ask us for details.
